Color Tip Tee!

This classic, set in sleeve tee is constructed from the top down. The front and back are knit flat until they’re joined at the underarm and the body is knit in the round. This tee utilizes a short row cap sleeve so there’s no seaming! The garment is finished with colorful twisted rib edgings. If you are familiar with my Dad’s Sweater pattern, the construction is very similar!

Wearing my #CloveSweater, a classic for me when we're traveling. I just find it so easy to toss on - it goes with everything! It protected me from the morning chill and let me hold off on sunscreening my arms at least for a bit 😅 Yarn is of course @grenouilleco Lampblack, a fav ❤️

I hope you're ready for me to never shut up about this yarn ever. My second ever handspun sweater quantity, and I couldn't be more in love. It took me months to spin up and now that I'm done I almost don't want to knit it up because of how much I love it in yarn form!!

I'm planning to make a #DRKTraveler Hoodie by @dreareneeknits along with my Seattle and San Fran buddies! I this yarn is so perfect for a hoodie bc it's both classic grey and colorful and fun 😍

I spun it as a traditional 2-ply with one strand of grey BFL and one strand a @helloyarn Patchwork Kit!

FINALLY got some pics of my #LauderVest I finished last month 🥹

I'm really pleased with how it turned out and I've been wearing it a TON since I finished it! The yarn is part of what makes it so special! It's a possum blend I picked up in New Zealand during my travels last year. I really loved working with it and the resulting fabric feels amazing!

I knit my vest with a bit more ease than intended, and modified the v neck to be about twice as deep. It's exactly the grey cabled vest I was craving! And now I match my buddies @a_knotty_mess and @arieknits 😊

I've been in a bit of a funk getting started on new projects so I decided to cast on something easy, colorful, and fun 😊

Using leftovers from precious projects I've started a #SweetShopBlanket by @_laurapenrose_ and I'm already in love! I'm planning to switch up the direction of the triangles and with no real main color it's gonna be chaotic and wonderful! I'm anticipating this being on the needles for a looooong time but I already know it'll be my favorite blanket once it's done.

My first ever handspun sweater 🥹😭🥰

Cannot believe not only did I knit this sweater with these hands but ALSO spun the yarn with the same hands (and feet)??? Actually yes, I can believe it, because my hands are magic and make beautiful things all the time. I'm so, so proud of myself. Of course it's not perfect but honestly I wouldn't want it to be.

Couldn't have done it without my forever knitting and spinning companion @what.maya.made who was with me every step of the way. From giving me the push to start spinning in the first place, to spinning and knitting this one alongside me.

Wanted to share a photo of my in progress #LauderVest on the grid before I finish it so soon!!

Toward the end of last year my knitting mojo really took a hit and after finishing up some long standing projects I was feeling really energized by the idea of an all over cabled vest! This project has absolutely fit the bill and I'm so in love with how it's turning out. I can't stop working on it - partly because this yarn is an absolute DREAM. 30% brush tail possum 😯 makes it so soft and haloey (is that a word?)

Finally sharing my last finished knit of 2024 - my #SeawayPullover!

I was inspired by @truelane's Seaway knitting plans and decided this yarn I picked up at New York Sheep & Wool would be perfect for it!

This project really put me through the ringer... I somehow knit the whole back panel on waaaayyyy too small a needle and then got SUPER nervous the cables wouldn't block out but in the end it came together beautifully!

My year in making: 2024!

I'm REALLY proud of all the things I made! I think I'm getting better and better making things I both love the process of knitting and love wearing. I had some big spinning achievements this year too!

Can't wait for another year full of the magic of making things with my hands - I have a feeling it's gonna be a good one!

2024 is a wrap.

It was full of:
- lots of time with folks I love
- many adventures to beautiful places
- making things with my hands
- new beginnings

and also:
- growing pains
- feeling a lot of feelings all of the time
- anxiety and trickiness

and I expect nothing less from 2025. I'm generally a person that loves goals and resolutions, and of course I have some (some crafty ones I'll share soon!) but really at this stage in my life I feel really fortunate that I've got a lot of things figured out. Even if it isn't perfect, I know what's important to me and I'm getting better and better at spending my time and energy where I want to.

I hope you had a great year, and I hope your next one is just as good ❤️
